Coronavirus Update

Tuesday 22nd February 2022

We were incredibly pleased to hear the prime ministers plan to live with Covid. There are now no restrictions at our events, if attendees wish to wear masks they are welcome to.

We will continue to ask participants to carry out covid tests during their 8 weeks of free training up until April 1st when these are no longer available free of charge.

We would like to thank everyone that has supported our events across the challenging last 2 years.

We are now looking forward to getting tens of thousands of people fit and healthy, hosting incredible events and raising millions for Cancer Research UK.

Following the government announcement yesterday (8th December 2021)

Facemasks – These are NOT mandatory at our events. If you wish to wear them you can, it’s your choice.

NHS Covid Pass  – These are NOT required for our events on 10th, 11th & 12th December. We will be emailing all guests later today to ask them to carry out NHS Rapid Lateral Flow tests on the day of the event (These are available free from any chemist), This is in line with government advice, guests will not need to show a pass to gain entry.

For our events on 17th, 18th & 19th December we are awaiting the government advice which they have stated with be available in the coming days.

We will update this page as soon as we receive more information.

Monday 14th June 2021

Following the government announcement today that the June 21st ‘Freedom Day’ will now be moved to July 19th we have moved the vast majority of our events to August and September.

All participants will be given new dates in the coming days, if anyone cannot make a date, they will be given several options across 2021 and 2022.

This is a difficult time for everyone involved and we would like to thank all involved for being incredibly supportive at this challenging time.

One positive is that everyone will have more free training and be able to get even fitter and have longer to raise money for Cancer Research UK before their events.

Tuesday 4th May

More good progress across the last month with schools, shops, pubs and restaurants opening outdoors. Everything looks positive towards more opening on May 17th.

All participants have been contacted by text, email, WhatsApp and Facebook to give them an option of dates to take part in throughout 2021 and 2022.

Training will start on May 17th inline with Covid guidance with the following precautions:

  • Participants split into bubbles of 6.
  • Reduced capacities in gyms.
  • Possible regular testing with FREE lateral flow tests.

We are still awaiting government guidance on Covid for events but we seem to be fully on track for events to be allowed from 21st June without social distancing or masks. We are still on track to resume our events on July 9th.

Tuesday 6th April

More good news as the lockdown is coming to an end and Ultra Events gears up to run our events.

We had set a goal in March 2020 to raise £1Million in the month of March, at the half-way point we were on track to smash the target when Covid-19 hit.

We are now aiming for a £1Million in a month in July 2021.

We have over 150 events booked between 9th & 25th July with training resuming as soon as ‘indoor sport’ is allowed on May 17th.

Training for these events is:

Training starts week commencingEvent dates
17th May9th / 10th / 11th July
24th May16th / 17th / 18th July
31st May23rd / 24th / 25th July

The training will be delivered in a ‘Covid secure’ manner with a number of simple but effective precautions.

We cannot wait to start running events again, delivering incredible experiences, getting people super fit with 8 weeks of FREE training and of course raising millions for Cancer Research UK.

Friday 5th March

More positive news on the roadmap out of lockdown.

We are now in the process of announcing date options to all participants for their events that have been postponed since 2020. All participants are being given choices in 2021 and 2022.

Training will commence in a COVID-19 secure manner with participants split into groups of 6 and several other precautions to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission in training.

We cannot wait to get back running events, providing 8 weeks of FREE coaching and running brilliant events whilst raising millions for Cancer Research UK.

February 23rd – Cautious

Positive news from Boris today.

Firstly, we would like to take this opportunity to thank all participants for being so understanding and supportive through this challenging period.

We are hopeful that we will be able to host our amazing events in July with training starting in late May, this is of course totally dependent on the government guidance.

Training will be ‘COVID-19 secure’ with several precautions in place.

We would also like to thank the Ultra team across the UK who have all been working hard behind the scenes to plan for every possible eventuality in this constantly changing situation. Also, thanks to the amazing gyms and coaches that deliver training, we cannot wait to get you all training, getting fit and supporting these local businesses.

All participants that were due to take part in March/April 2020 will in the next few weeks as advice develops be given a choice of several dates in 2021 or 2022 to pick from. These participants will have first choice on all dates.

All new sign ups since roughly February 2020 will then be contacted and given the same date options, dependant on availability to fill up the events.

All these date options will be posted in FB groups so please ensure you check them.

This has been a long haul for everyone, and we are over the moon to finally be back planning to get people fit and active after lockdown, putting on awesome events and heading towards our target of £25Million for Cancer Research UK.

Tuesday 5th January 2021

We cannot wait to bring back Ultra Events to give people the opportunity to do something amazing and provide an amazing event night for guests to enjoy.

Our mission with Ultra is:

Improving Lives

  • Bettering physical and mental health
  • Life-changing experiences
  • Behaving morally and ethically
  • Fundraising to help beat cancer

As the UK enters another lockdown, we will continue to put our events on hold. We are following government guidance closely and we hope that the roll out of the vaccination will bring hope that after Easter events can start to return.

We are positive that events will be able to resume in 2021 and we can get on our way to hitting £25million for Cancer Research UK.

Thank you for your patience, we hope to see you soon!

Wednesday 2nd December 2020

It is fantastic news that the UK have approved the Pfizer vaccine and that it will be available from next week. This is a huge step forwards for the events industry and an encouraging sign that events will return in 2021.

We cannot wait to bring back Ultra Events and get on our way to hit our target of £25million raised for Cancer Research UK.

We have dates booked for 2021 and 2022 and will be giving participants who were due to take part in postponed events the choice of dates they would like to take part in.

Thank you for your patience during this time, we cannot wait to see you soon at an Ultra Event!

Thursday 20th August 2020

It is great to see that the UK is slowly returning to normal and that bars, restaurants, gyms and other industries can now reopen. We are excited that the government have announced some pilot events can go ahead during August with the view for events to return in the Autumn, this is a huge step forward for the events industry.

We cannot wait to be able to bring Ultra Events back, getting people fit with UWCB and Ultra MMA, teaching people a new skill with Ultra Ballroom, making people laugh with Ultra Comedy and ensuring that we provide a fantastic night for all guests and participants. Most importantly, we cannot wait to be back raising money for Cancer Research UK and getting back on track for our next target of £25million raised.

We are still waiting to be given the green light from the government on when our events can return and once this happens we will be announcing the rescheduled dates. All tickets will be transferred to the new dates and we will provide all guests the choice of 3 dates to choose from in order to make sure that they can attend the event and we will provide at least 12 week’s notice.

Thank you for your patience during this difficult time and we hope to see you at an Ultra Event soon!

Tuesday 17th March 2020

Following the governments advice on limiting social contact. We have unfortunately made the decision to postpone our training and events set for the coming weeks.

As always, our primary concern is the safety of our participants and spectators. We are absolutely devastated by this, but we are doing what we feel is right to ensure everyone’s safety and health.

We have been organising events for the last 11 years and have never found ourselves in these circumstances. These are unprecedented times and we feel this is the right option.

All events that have been postponed will be running at a date in the future. We cannot confirm dates at the moment but will let you know as soon as the government advice and guidance allow us to make these decisions. As we stress the safety of others is paramount.

The minute we do set a new date, we expect we will give 12 weeks’ notice which should hopefully be enough for everyone to attend and show support. Our participants have trained so very hard and raised a phenomenal amount of money for Cancer Research UK.

We cannot wait to reschedule these events. Participants will receive a fresh 8 weeks of training and have the amazing event that they deserve. An amazing night for friends, family and work colleagues to proudly come and cheer on their incredible loved ones.

All tickets and VIP tables will still be valid for the rearranged event, these are non refundable. Funds raised for Cancer Research UK on JustGiving pages will also moved over to the new date. This will give everyone the opportunity to raise EVEN MORE money for Cancer Research UK.

We will be in touch with everyone as soon possible with details of the new dates.

These are extreme, unprecedented circumstances. Thank you for your patience and support during this time. Ultra Events participants have raised over 21millions pounds for Cancer Research UK. We cannot wait to get going again to raise even more for life saving research and get even more people fit and active. The start of our events will signal the end of a very challenging period. Take care of yourselves and others around you.
